Our Process

Take a few moments to learn what you can expect if you commission garments with us.

What to Expect

We create gorgeous made to measure clothing to your exact specifications. Our specialty lies in curation of outstanding fabrics, painstaking measurements and deft style guidance.

Our process generally starts with a phone consultation, allowing us to get to know you and what you would like out of a custom garment. Once we have determined that we are a good fit for you, we will schedule an in-person appointment.

In our first appointment together, we will introduce you to fabrics appropriate for the garments you have in mind. Some of our favorite mills that you can expect to see cloth from are Dormeuil, Loro Piana, Carlo Barbera, Vitale Barberis and Reda. Once we have found a cloth you are excited to wear, we will go through our measurement process. Depending on your garment, we will take up to fifty measurements and perform a posture assessment. Finally, we will discuss style details to bring our collective vision to life.

After this meeting, production will occur off site. Once we take delivery of your garment, we will meet to assess fit so that we may take care of any adjustments for you. Adjustments typically take one week, after which time we will perform a final fitting.

Our typical production times for this process are as follow:

Shirting: 3-4 weeks

Suiting: 6-8 weeks

Luxury Casual Wear: 6-8 weeks

Leathers: 8-12 weeks

In addition, we are happy to offer a premium rush program with typical production times of three weeks for suiting and luxury casual wear.

Caring for your Garments

It is our hope to create timeless pieces that will serve you well into the future. We will continue to be available to consult on fit and care of your garments.

We recommend the following care for your garments:

Cotton Dress Shirts/Button Downs and Knits: Wash cold and hang or lay flat to dry. Iron as necessary. Alternatively, dry clean.

Cashmere/Silk Knits: Spot clean with a gentle cleaner such as Woolite for occasional small stains. When it comes time to wash, hand wash in room temperature water with the same gentle detergent. Lay flat to dry.

Suiting, Outerwear and Luxury Casualwear: Spot clean with a gentle cleaner such as Woolite for small stains. Dry cleaning will slowly break down fibers over time, so we recommend only dry cleaning once a season or when necessary due to incidentals of wearing the garment.
